I dont think Dragon Ball Kai is actually licensed by Crunchyroll/Funimation
[edit]Considering its not on either service I do not think its licensed by them unlike the regular Dragon Ball Z. Isla 🏳️⚧ 19:39, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Dragon ball gt mention
[edit]I recommend adding a note that dragon ball gt is not a cannon sequal to dragon ball z while dragon ball super is. Vuongdovu (talk) 05:47, 28 March 2024 (UTC)

- We don't use such terms here. Also, that Screen Rant post is mostly based on WP:SELFPUBLISH and WP:USERG sources. Xexerss (talk) 05:55, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- With Dragon Ball GT being non-canonical, though, I don't belief it is right to call it a sequel to Dragon Ball Z. I think it would be more appropriate to call it a sidequel as discussed in Spinoff_(media). Met4lGod76 (talk) 00:19, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- I could find a lot of secondary sources, included in WP:A&M/ORS, specifically calling it a sequel, but probably few or none reliable ones calling it a "sidesequel". The terms are not based simply on what we may or may not personally consider appropriate to use, but on which ones the sources use to refer to the series. Xexerss (talk) 00:37, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know what sources those were, but just checking out a few in the list they don't mention anything about Dragon Ball GT being a sequel. Met4lGod76 (talk) 17:24, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- [1] [2] [3][4] They all explicitly label it as a sequel. Now, can you provide a source explicitly calling it a "sidesequel"? Xexerss (talk) 03:08, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- I don't. I threw that out as a suggestion since it's not canonical to the storyline per the series creator. Official sources can have information wrong too, but that's more of a philosophical debate in my opinion. Subsequently, Dragon Ball Diama (or whatever the new anime series is called) is a sequel to Dragon Ball Z that takes place before Dragon Ball Super. Met4lGod76 (talk) 03:16, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Source 4's mention of a sequel was from the review section and wasn't part of the synopsis. Is that a legitimate source?
- Source's 1-3 are the same page. Met4lGod76 (talk) 03:26, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Third link was incorrect, sorry for that. What matters is the term the sources use to refer to the series, not where they use it. Active Anime is listed as reliable at WP:A&M/ORS. Xexerss (talk) 03:30, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Kaio-Ken and Spirit Bomb explanation.
[edit]"King Kai teaches Goku the Kaio-ken (界王拳, Kaiōken, lit. "Fist of Kings of Worlds") and the Spirit Bomb (元気玉, Genki Dama, lit. "Energy Sphere") techniques". I am going to expand on this sentence to explain what the techniques do.

- That's not necessary. It is not the purpose of this site to delve into the lore of the series. Also, Wikis are unreliable WP:USERG sources. I recommend that you first familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's guidelines before continuing to make edits. Xexerss (talk) 06:04, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
